About / Research

I am a physicist and AI/ML engineer interested in building intelligent systems and using machine learning to understand complex scientific problems. My work spans generative AI, foundation models, scientific machine learning, and representation learning, with a particular interest in understanding how intelligent systems learn and reason.

I currently work on generative AI and agentic systems in industry, while continuing to explore research at the intersection of machine learning and science. Previously, I worked on astrophysics and astronomical data analysis, including Bayesian models for radio-galaxy morphology, neural operators for astrophysical systems, and mechanistic interpretability of foundation models.

I hold an M.Sc. in Physics with Astrophysics from IUCAA and SPPU, and a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Tezpur University. Over the years, I have worked across astrophysics, machine learning, uncertainty quantification, computer vision, and scientific computing, mostly following whatever problem I found interesting at the time.
